The Texas Dept. of Human Services (TDHS) can and will get the "IRS tapes" for your and your spouse’s Social Security numbers that will show every stock transaction, every bank deposit, every CD, every withdrawal for the prior 5 years. So if you think the TDHS will not find out about that $25,000 you gave your daughter last year, you are dreaming!! DO NOT commit fraud. There is NO reason to commit fraud … The Legislature has built in enough opportunities that even the wealthiest Texans can qualify for Medicaid.
